About KELM
Established in Mwanza in 2017
KELM Power Systems Limited was incorporated in 2017. From its base in Mwanza, the company serves mines, factories, utilities, water facilities, commercial developments and public infrastructure.
Our work includes overhead and underground distribution, transformer substations, switchgear, industrial wiring and equipment maintenance. Recent assignments include water infrastructure at Butimba, mining substations at Mwazimba and Mawemiru, and line relocation at Buckreef. We undertake both complete electrical installations and individual packages within larger construction projects.

Site teams work to approved methods, permit requirements, PPE rules and the client’s operating procedures.
Test before handover
Installations are inspected and tested, with records and as-built information prepared for the client where required.
Our Team
Engineers and site teams
KELM’s project teams bring together electrical engineers, a project manager, site engineers, supervisors, foremen, electricians and linesmen. Teams are assigned according to the project scope, programme and site requirements.
Project engineers coordinate drawings, equipment requirements and site work with the client. Specialist suppliers and service partners are coordinated through KELM when their equipment forms part of the scope.

Leadership
Led by an electrical engineer
KELM is led by Eng. Ernest Kalulu, Managing and Technical Director and a graduate of the University of Dar es Salaam in Electrical Engineering.
He remains involved in technical review and project oversight, supported by the company’s engineering, project, safety and commercial teams.
