MV Line Construction
Erected poles, strung ACSR conductors and installed crossarms, insulators, lightning arresters and line hardware.

A new MV supply system supporting dependable wastewater treatment and raw-water pumping in Mwanza.
Project Overview
KELM constructed and extended the Medium Voltage overhead network serving the Butimba Wastewater Treatment Plant and its associated raw-water pumping station. The completed arrangement included a 0.8km section feeding a 2,000kVA 11/0.4kV transformer and a 0.7km section feeding a 400kVA 11/0.4kV transformer.
The work brought together line construction, armoured cable installation, transformer substations, protection, earthing, testing and coordinated commissioning.
What KELM Did
Erected poles, strung ACSR conductors and installed crossarms, insulators, lightning arresters and line hardware.
Installed transformer substations, MV armoured cables and the associated electrical interfaces.
Installed isolators, drop-out fuses, surge protection and strategic earthing for operator and equipment safety.
Completed insulation, continuity and earth tests, coordinated commissioning and supplied as-built records.
